Musings

Trying to catch up on my blog assignments. Where am I right now? A bit overwhelmed with trying to keep track of all my different accounts, user names, and passwords. Wondering if people really care what I think about any particular issue. Sometimes the blog and twitter thing seem so narcissistic that I feel self conscious about posting. . . Also, how does a new teacher find the time to implement what we've been learning about? On the other hand this is opening up a lot of venues for me that I would not have pursued on my own.

  1. I totally agree with you, well, except the self-conscious thing, (because i don't give a f*&k). But seriously, who has the time to read and respond to all this sometimes trivial drivel? I feel like I'm just writting away into space, will no hopes of ever getting a responce. I've only had two comments all semester, and one was by a friend who isn't in the class!!
Why do I need a blog? I don't have anything to offer you that is beyond the instructors grasp. I would rather learn from the teacher than from a group of students simply writting commentary because they "have to." How would a teacher be able to keep up with and organize this stuff to make it relevant and usefull? I seems like a giant pain when you factor in the lack of computers in schools, and all the tech. problems they bring (breaking down, lost work, etc.) So, I feel your concerns. I think we're friends now...

  2. Thanks for your comments. I had been feeling like I am being a complainer - maybe because I am! But it's good to know I'm not alone. And if the goal is simply to expose us to different ways to use technology and hope that some of it sticks, maybe it's not so bad.
